Central Expanded Metal in Chandler, Oklahoma, operates a high-demand manufacturing facility where energy usage plays a major role in day-to-day operations.
To help reduce long-term electricity costs, the Central Expanded Metal team turned to Artisun Solar for a rooftop solar project that will offset 97% of their facility’s energy usage. The solar array at Central Expanded Metal spans more than 1,700 individual solar panels for their 704.38 kW (DC) system.
In its first year of operation, Central Expanded Metal’s solar array is projected to deliver $68,814 in electricity savings with lifetime savings projected to surpass $3 million. Federal tax credits, along with state and local depreciation incentives, helped support the project economics.
