Artisun Solar partnered with US Toy to install a two-phase rooftop solar system at its Grandview, Missouri facility, helping reduce electricity costs and improve long-term energy predictability. US Toy was later acquired by Windy City Novelties in 2024.
The first installation in 2018 included 446 panels, delivering 149.41 kW (DC). In its first year alone, the system generated $17,082 in savings and achieved a one-year payback.
Following the success of the initial system, a second phase was added in 2020 with 151 additional panels. This expansion contributed another 50 kW (DC) with a 3.6-year payback period. The second system is projected to deliver $159,942 in lifetime savings.
Together, the combined 597-panel system provides nearly 200 kW (DC) of on-site solar capacity and is projected to generate over $900,000 in lifetime electricity savings. The phased approach allowed the customer to scale their investment over time while maximizing available incentives and minimizing upfront capital.
