Polysol Polymers

Polysol Polymers, a plastics and polymer manufacturing company based in Desloge, Missouri, installed two rooftop solar systems at their facility with Artisun Solar. The company first added solar to lower operating costs and take advantage of available incentives. After seeing strong results from the initial project, they moved forward with a second installation to expand the system.

The first solar array was a 186.48 kW DC system (150 kW AC) that paid for itself in just 0.8 years. It reduced their utility bills by more than $20,000 in the first year and is expected to save over $900,000 over its lifetime. The system was built using federal and state tax credits, a USDA grant, and available depreciation benefits.

Several years later, Polysol expanded with a second rooftop system sized at 169.9 kW DC (105.6 kW AC). That project has a projected payback of 1.6 years and adds another $1.04 million in lifetime savings. Together, both systems total 356.38 kW DC and offset more than 11,000 metric tons of CO₂ emissions.
