Kansas City-based IodiTech has a long history as a manufacturer of iodine derivatives for industries such as food, pharmaceuticals, energy, nylon, polymers, animal health, and more. Their commitment to “Building Better” highlights both community involvement and sustainability-driven efforts.
To both offset their facility’s high-volume electricity needs and add to their “Building Better” commitment, IodiTech turned to Artisun Solar to install solar at their headquarters.
Their 834-panel (380 kW DC) solar array produced more than 430,000 kilowatts in the first year alone, saving $50,303 in electricity costs. Over the system’s lifetime, solar is projected to save more than $2 million with a payback period in less than 2 years.
The system is projected to offset nearly 10,000 metric tons of CO₂ emissions, supporting their drive to give back to their community through philanthropic partnerships and strategic sustainability decisions like solar.
