Foster Coach Sales & Rock River Auto Body

Foster Coach, operating two facilities in Sterling, Illinois – Foster Sales and Rock River Auto Body – partnered with Artisun Solar to install rooftop solar systems across both locations. The projects were designed to reduce electricity costs and increase energy self-sufficiency.

The systems are expected to produce an annual savings of $7,624 in utility costs and a projected $322,415 over the lifetime of the system with a payback in less than a year.  The projects used federal and state incentives, including the Federal ITC, USDA Grant, state and federal depreciation, and Smart Inverter rebates.

Installation went smoothly, with minimal impact on day-to-day operations. Since being installed in 2024, both solar arrays have been operating smoothly without any issues.

“I would recommend Artisun and solar to someone looking for a vendor and a cost saving way to save money on utility bills. Our Return on Investment was as promised, a year from installation. Net saving looks as projected of about $320,000.00 over a 30 year period.”
