Carrico Implement, a John Deere dealer with locations in Beloit, Ellsworth, and Hays, Kansas, partnered with Artisun Solar to install a 667 kW rooftop solar system across three facilities. This strategic move toward energy independence is projected to save the company $70,695 annually, with a total lifetime savings of $3.1 million and a payback period of just two years.
The system also delivers a significant environmental impact, offsetting 16,651.5 metric tons of carbon dioxide, demonstrating the company’s commitment to sustainability while supporting local agriculture. By leveraging federal and state incentives, including the Federal Solar Tax Credit, USDA REAP Grant, State Depreciation, and MACRS Bonus Depreciation, Carrico Implement maximized financial benefits and ROI.
Artisun Solar designed and installed a custom commercial solar solution tailored to Carrico’s energy needs, allowing the business to reinvest savings into operations and better support farmers with high-quality equipment and service. This project highlights how agricultural suppliers can cut energy costs, reduce environmental impact, and achieve long-term energy independence.
