St. Louis-Based Car-Anth Manufacturing Shrinks Its Environmental Footprint and Saves Big With Solar

Hailing from St. Louis, Car-Anth Manufacturing has been in the business of bringing machining, welding, and fabrication projects to life for over 80 years. The technology Car-Anth relies on to provide vital manufacturing services like CNC machining and sheet metal fabrication has changed drastically over the course of eight decades, but the company’s commitment to delivering a stellar product to its customers hasn’t. With the installation of a new solar system provided by Artisun Solar, Car-Anth will be able to continue to serve its customers well into the future while saving a vast amount of money and significantly lessening its impact on the environment at the same time.

The company recently hired Artisun Solar to design and install a total189 kW Solar Array system on the roof of its manufacturing facility. The system features 415 ZNShine 455 Watt Tier 1 Solar Panels and five Fronius SYMO inverters. In the first year alone,Car-Anth is expected to enjoy $22,000 in energy savings and generate 225,000 kWh from the new system.

Car-Anth’s new solar system is projected to have a profound positive impact on the local environment, with 4,967 metric tons of CO2 emissions predicted to be offset and the equivalent of a car being kept off the road for 12,328,613 miles. Car-Anth’s decision to go solar serves as further proof that companies can switch to renewable energy to save money while protecting the planet.
