Today’s Farmers Magazine did a fantastic spotlight on MFA in Meta, Missouri powered with solar from Artisun Solar.
From the Today’s Farmers Magazine, “Situated on 10 acres at the edge of town, the Exchange complex includes a fertilizer plant, two feed mills, warehouse, equipment shed, office and showroom. For a little more than a year now, the entire facility has been powered by solar energy.”
“The cooperative worked with Artisun Solar in Grandview, Mo., to install two arrays of solar panels. This set powers the feed mill, while the others provide electricity for the rest of the property. When more energy is needed, it comes from Union Electric; when excess is generated, the co-op receives credit.”
