EXLTUBE 1MW receives 2019 KCIC Sustainability Award

The KCIC Sustainability Awards program recognizes and promotes sustainable practices by businesses in the Kansas City metropolitan area, particularly those businesses that are located in industrial areas.

We are so excited to share that our customer, EXLTUBE of North Kansas City, Missouri, with over a megawatt of solar, among the largest business owned solar arrays in the state (SEIA 2019) rivaling the size of Ikea’s in St. Louis, will be recognized as a 2019 recipient of the Gold KCIC Sustainability Award at the awards breakfast to be held on Thursday, October 24 from 7:30-9:00 am at the Energy Center, 1200 Main St.

We take great pride in providing our customers a way to not only significantly save on utility costs, but also a way to model good environmental stewardship in a practical way.

The Kansas City Industrial Council (KCIC) is a volunteer board that coordinates cooperation between the various industrial associations in Kansas City, promoting a more favorable industrial climate by repairing the aging industrial infrastructure, modernizing for competitiveness, encouraging excellence in education and job training, cleaning up environmental hazards, and reducing blight in our industrial districts.
