Recycling with Solar
About 80 miles south of Kansas City, in Montrose, Missouri, congratulations goes to Meredith Recycling for getting 37 kilowatts of rooftop solar! Using the renewable energy of the sun to power their recycling is a natural fit for both sustainability and financial savings.
Taking advantage of the Investment Tax Credit for Solar before it is slashed and other solar programs available to commercial customers, Meredith Recycling contracted with Artisun Solar for a turn-key installation of two solar arrays, one to power their scale house and the other their main sorting facility. When more energy is needed, it comes from Evergy, formerly KCP&L. When excess is generated, the business receives credit.
Thank you, Meredith Recycling, for choosing Artisun Solar to work with you on this project!
