With a New Solar Array System, IodiTech Doubles Down On Its Commitment To Sustainability

Iodine is not something the average person thinks about often or even ever at all, but this trace element shows up virtually everywhere in modern life. Headquartered in Kansas City, IodiTech is in the business of delivering this crucial resource to a wide swath of industries, ranging from food to pharmaceuticals to energy. With its sprawling 30,000 square-foot state of the art facility that’s designed to reduce water consumption and boost energy efficiency, this industrial manufacturing company is committed to serving future generations and the local community of Kansas City. And now with the installation of a new solar array system, IodiTech is doubling down on this commitment for decades to come.

With an estimated $50,000 dollars in energy savings and 430,000+ kWh of energy produced in the first year alone, IoidiTech’s system is designed to generate energy instantly and save money rapidly. The ROI for this project is projected at just 1.3 years. Over 800 roof-mounted ZNShine 455 Watt Tier 1 Solar Panels were installed for this project, including 13 Fronius SYMO inverters.

IodiTech’s transition to solar will deliver powerful environmental impacts throughout the life of the system, with 9,556 metric tons of CO2 emissions projected to be offset and the equivalent of 158,047 tree seedlings grown over 10 years. IodiTech’s strategic pivot to solar is more proof that commercial businesses can care for the planet and invest in their financial futures at the same time.
