Earlier this year we were fortunate enough to work with Mark Thomas & Clay Foster, and their team of great people at C&R Supermarkets. We completed a two-site solar project at their Fayette and Shelbina locations totaling 450kW-DC between both locations. Between the tax savings, and the use of the USDA’s Rural Energy for America Program nearly 70% of the upfront cost was paid back before the energy savings began rolling in. Both of these projects utilize tilt racking systems on already existing standing seam roofs – these racking systems help maximize the investment from C&R Supermarket and prevent the need for any penetrations to the roof structure.
